Richmond Dive Club Presents
White Water Rafting on the James
Saturday, Sept 25th.
Sign up via the web no later than MONDAY - September 20th.
Rafting: The City Trip
- The City Trip takes paddlers down the lower section of The James River and through downtown Richmond. Paddlers will experience rapids ranging from class I-IV, this trip caters to the thrill seeker in all of us, rafters must be at least 12 years old and 90 pounds.
- Halfway through the trip we pull over for a snack on the shores of Richmond's beautiful James River Park System. When the snack is over get ready to get wet as your team paddles through Hollywood and Pipeline Rapids.
- Group will meet at River City Rafting, 100 Stockton Street, Richmond, VA 23224. You will need to use Maury Street as there are road works blocking Stockton Street.
- You must be there by 10.15 am on Saturday, September 25th where you will complete paperwork. A van will take us to the put in point, where we will receive further instructions regarding commands, etc. Return is somewhere between 2 and 4 depending the number of people and how many times someone falls out of the raft.
- You will get wet so wear something suitable – and no flip flops. Bring dry clothes to change into at the end of the trip.
- Charge is $65 per person and can be paid via pay pal.
- There is a limit of 30 people.
- The minimum group size is 5.
